I started in a data-heavy role too, thinking it’d be the perfect fit. But over time, I realized I missed the people side of work: collaborating, explaining things, and seeing how my work impacted others. Shifting into a client-facing analyst role made a huge difference for me. It kept the analytical side but brought back that human interaction I was craving. Maybe look into roles like client onboarding, financial consulting, or product training specialist. Another thing to look into would be financial advisor associate, client success manager, or even product specialist at a fintech company
Sounds like you’d be great at building relationships but also have finance knowledge. If you like working with people and money you could try financial advisor or client success roles within the fintech space. These blend client interaction and product knowledge without the pressure cooker of quotas.
I’m thinking private bank administrative position maybe
Yeah I was gonna say something similar. It sounds like roles in relationship management or financial advising could be a good fit. You’d get to work closely with clients and products without the pressure of hardcore sales goals. Might be worth exploring client-facing finance roles rather than going into sales??
