I’m seriously considering making the jump from risk management to investment banking, but I know it won’t be an easy transition. Risk has given me a solid foundation in financial analysis and strategy, but I’m wondering how steep the learning curve will be when it comes to deal execution, modeling, and the intense hours. Have any of you made a similar move? What skills were the most transferable, and what surprised you the most about the shift? Also, any advice on what I should start preparing for now to make the transition smoother?
