I’m starting a new job as a Bartender/Server and just did my first day of training. Before this shift the manager said it would be a “training/evaluation”. Does the “evaluation” part mean that they are training other people? After the first shift he said he’d reach out to set up another shift next week. I was kinda figuring the sessions were so spread out so they could train/evaluate other servers during that time. Has anyone ever heard of this?

I'm working in the US under H1B, I got a chance to face an interview for another company. My current company started the PERM application also and results will be out within the next 3 months. Is it okay to transfer my H1B to a new company? Can my H1B transfer be denied? How long will my green card application delay if I move to a new company and start to apply for a green card from scratch?

Should all the on-site interviews have a feedback of "hire/ strong hire" in order to proceed to HC?

I will be joining IBM next week in Bangalore ( physical onboarding ) and my hometown is in West bengal , My father is having health problems , mother won't be able to handle everything and no such person we can rely on . Also I am getting married in January . Hence If i stay in Bangalore there will be no one to take responsibility for my marriage prep also . I work as an AGM in a busy restaurant. Been working there for just over a year, and haven't had a single raise. I now only make 0.50 cents more than even the lowest paid shift lead but I am doing a lot more work. I'm no longer satisfied with these conditions. Should I try to negotiate a raise or look for other opportunities?
