Experienced hires do get paid higher, but now if they have already offered you a BA position and you have accepted, not possible to change it now come in a different level. In general we are very reluctant to have folks join at a different level than usual points of entry, and this needs a lot of negotiation
1 year of EY experience won't really be enough for you to be considered an experienced hire.
I was an experienced hire from EY as well. Did get paid higher but my experience was worst like $10k. I wasn't part of the normal BA class (formally at least) so I'd accidentally be left out of things.
The BA campus program is structured and very well done. The experienced hire path is not so much because there are just so few who get classified as that.
Also, more expectations from experienced hire. You dint want that type of pressure at McKinsey. Already so hard

Dude, you have your whole life and career ahead of you. You are doing just fine. I promise you, whatever "higher" lateral recruits get is a small bump in the grand scheme things. We are talking a few thousand dollars. Keep the focus and excel.
Fair enough. But I took a masters which I paid for and now coming in with a comp less than my peers at EYP who just lateraled at M. I am keeping my focus and excelling and being mindful of how much I’m worth
Are you that Asian dude? Congrats on M!
