Sorry to hear. Its a tough market out there but always remain hopeful

Could you provide the area of Finance you have experience on, number of years of such experience, if your work was remote or hybrid, and which major metro area are you in?

like

Well it was a startup and they wanted me to learn some accounting stuff before I switched to a financial role. That didn’t happen. And yes I’ve applied to all those companies

@Finance - same here. Been searching for almost a year now and still without a job. I even change state and still not able to land a job as yet. Anybody in Savannah, Georgia and can help? I would be grateful.

Learn and talk to to people who can help you spin your experience into something relevant. You need a foot in the door at this point.
With that experience , you can look for jobs in finance, accounting , business management,
Pm.
Having a consultant background is advantageous. You can't take the series 7
Unless a firm) broker dealer) sponsors you so unless you want to use it as a way to learn then maybe it is worth it.

You can always get a job as a banker in a branch but that is a hard move into none retail after that

like

Well yea I was going to study for series 7 and hope a firm hires me and I’m ready to go to take it, but thanks for the advice

Same situation here . don't give up

Get a masters degree it like resets

What state are we talking about looking in?

Virginia

It must be your location. I struggled getting a job in one state but since I moved I get job offers every other day

What area did you relocate to?

I have been looking for a hybrid part time job and as a credit union auditor managing up to $1 billion asset size, I can’t seem to find anything. It kind of blows my mind I’m not qualified for something like bookkeeping if I don’t have QuickBooks experience. I review CFOs and CEOS work and review complex systems but won’t be considered because of QuickBooks? Crazy.

What do you do? Open to relocation? My company is hiring advisors.

I’ve been working for my State Farm agency as a team member for 2 years. I am licensed in property and casualty as well as life and health, but only make $13 an hour. I technically can make bonuses but I’m not supposed to dig into a sale and I have to send it to a sales rep (I am service and retention mostly). My boss also has me running a retired agents office until a new one is chosen (its an hour away with no pay increase or mileage pay). Also, no benefits! Should I start job searching?

I'm in finance/tech FPA, looking to go back to the defense industry for a 25% increase in TC. But wanted to see if I should leverage the new salary with current company to see if they'll match.

Background: got a promotion at current company that didn't come with sufficient increase . After stating my case I was told it would be evaluated next October, which is what prompted the initial job search.

Current TC 103K [88/15], offer 125k base [+discretionary bonus].
