I was in the same position and made a move. There were a couple other things that rubbed me wrong as well that I won’t get into here.
At the new firm, make sure you’re getting exposure to regional and national leadership during the interview process. Yes, local puts you up for partner, but you’re golden if regional/national has your back.
Just remember grass isn’t always greener.
Congratulations on the job offer OP. Don’t worry about quitting at this time. Do what makes sense for you.

Why would you jump to another accounting firm? Why not leave for a tax director or VP tax role.
