If you have a place in mind, try to do as much research as you can on it. Sometimes working for a bigger organization can have advantages, they tend to have bigger budgets or may have better benefits. But in today's world you also have to worry about any potential for layoffs. You don't want to land in a big organization and be the last person aboard if things get ugly. I mean, you can't go through life worrying about hypothetical disasters, but, it's something perhaps worth considering.

Big companies are great in many areas, but they tend to think of employees as having been hired to do X… and only X… and so you get to do X with 3% to 6% raises for the rest of your career. That’s the biggest difference I’ve seen between small / large companies.
