I’m under 30 and have been working as an underwriter for 1.5 years. I recently received an offer from another company and accepted it. After resigning, my current employer made several counteroffers, and now I’m reconsidering whether I should stay if they exceed the new offer’s conditions.

However, the fact that I wanted to leave in the first place suggests that I don’t see a long-term future here. At the same time, it feels good that they’re trying hard to keep me—it makes me feel valued.

Anyone out there who is a RN who works in marketing? I have been a surgical nurse/nurse navigator for 10 years and for the last 2 years have taken an interest in marketing. I work as a worker’s compensation adjuster and I cannot seem to get the hand of loss of time. Been in the same role for a year. Any piece of advise? I have made several improvements but it feels like I’m dragging it out. Last question is how do you manage claims that you have not handle for months and you’re too scared to do anything.

In my organization, most with my role are commission based. I make a set salary due to the firm I work for as an account manager/ coordinator for clients… I coordinate their enrollments, working with each groups HR department as to benefits and payroll purposes, and schedule our benefit counselors accordingly. I am finding that in most cases where I compare the voluntary benefits industry, I might be underpaid. What is an appropriate base salary for a position in which commission is replaced?

currently tossing up between staying at a global company (who is in the process of some positive changes) with an amazing manager who supports my career and flexible working … however comes with the inherit issues that come with a long standing global company

compared with a role at a smaller mga, higher salary (around 30%) more , more visibility career wise and some great employee benefits , management seem to be supportive and low staff turnover

Hello, any insights on claims director/ senior claims specialist pay range at the big companies? Chubb, Zurich etc

10 year experience here and looking assess where I would stand.

How does one tell their boss (owner of the company) that you are burnt out? The sheer volume of work is exhausting and I haven’t taken a true vacation as we are a small company so if something urgent comes to my email I feel like I must respond. I was given an additional title and more responsibilities last year as well but only a 3% raise for it.
