I’m wondering—how long did it take you to find a new job as a senior UI/UX or product designer? How many interviews did you get, and in how long? I’ve been laid off for almost 3 months, had 6 interviews, but only one second round. I have 6+ years of experience and strong projects, but keep getting rejected. Is the market really this bad? I’m even thinking of a career change, but I’m already 42.

Any recos on in-person Sketch App workshops in Los Angeles?

Im working at a big multi-product company and we're having 5 dedicated product teams, however, teams are working in silos. Each team's has its own process, design system, technology etc. We identified that most of the teams use and need components that were already conceptualised, designed and developed, for our other products, and we are starting to create a global set of components, a global design system that we will use on all our products. I wanted to share that I am in my first job as ui/ux expert and I am the only ux/ui person in the team. I am expected to take care of entire research and design of the product. It becomes very overwhelming as the product that I am working on is in a early phase and I am expected to think about ui as well as ux and also design entire app on my own.There is no user interview or user testing happening as my project manager thinks it can be done after product is launched. Please help!
