I’m a second year BigLaw associate that pays market. I was offered the position at a modified salary and hourly expectation due to their expected work flow needs. I’m wondering what is the best way to approach the topic of getting on the full salary/hours. Do I wait until the bonuses are given at the end of my first year? Or bring it up at mid-year review? Made the pivot from Big 4 to Bain and frankly underwhelmed. Seems like Bains Ops capabilities / general knowledge resources / white papers are lagging the industry quite a bit. Miles behind BCG / McKinsey as well. Literally only good for PE and nothing else.

I’m a new hire and currently the only creative on a team of developers. I’ve requested Figma—but IT has pushed back, asking for “detailed business justification… explaining it is beneficial or will assist in day-to-day tasks”.

I’ve already provided info of that nature directly from Figma’s website. Suggestions on what else might convince them?

What’s the best route to transition over and would I need to apply for entry level roles? Does an AD role with a UI/UX focus even exist?
