In states like ky where the state police is a full service police organization when a crime occurs & state police show up does that put them in charge of the situation? For example say a vehicle pursuit takes place & a local sheriffs deputy initiates the pursuit but then a trooper joins the pursuit does the state officer take charge of the pursuit? I'll be doing my internship at the state police barracks this fall semester so I'm sure I'll find out more, just learning.
