To be fair, incoming summers should’ve learned their lesson after firms were letting individuals go after pro-Hamas and anti-Israel posts last year.

If it is known that firms will let you go over hot-topic issues, best to exercise good judgement before posting.

likehelpfulfunny

To clarify, many were let go for being supportive of a Free Palestine, not pro-Hamas.

Good! Shows terrible judgement and no moral character, shouldn’t be practicing law anywhere :)

For purposes of ending any uncertainty here, this is his post glorifying Charlie Kirk’s gruesome assassination, which happened in front of his kids. Screencaps of Kaseen’s post have amassed 100k+ likes on X. His career is, likely, over. Hope this helps!

this is purely evil and this sort of malice is unacceptable in society. Good on Fried Frank for having a standard for decent behavior. I hope this person repents and changes his life for the better.

It was a picture of Kirk with a quote of Kirk’s “Islam is the sword the left is using to slit the throat of America “ and then the comment “throat you say”. It showed entirely poor judgment

likehelpfulfunny

I think it showed something worse than poor judgment.

It has nothing to do with Charlie Kirk. As long as the rich can keep the townsfolk at each others throats, no one will notice that they are picking our pockets.

For a pro killing post or anti-Charlie Kirk post?

The former

Have to be a moron in any industry to think that kind of commentary is appropriate, no matter which political direction it cuts

Currently unemployed, and looking at a job offer of around 62k base, small firm. Not my preferred choice but this is the first offer in three months. They also took a month to get me the offer with corona and internal restructuring. Two questions:
1) The contract doesn’t mention a notice period in the probation period. What’s a good way to ask? 2) If I manage to secure another offer between contract signing and start date, would this involve any financial liabilities?

Should I complain to a firm's HR if the interviewers laughed at my answer during an interview? Maybe it sounded scripted but it was still heartfelt and genuine: my immigration story and how that made me appreciate the rule of law. I said it soo many times during OCI's that maybe it eventually sounded robotic, but for the interviewers to laugh and one to say sarcastically "nice elevator pitch", I thought was rude. Thoughts?

I’ve been at a job for a few months and hate it - partners set unrealistic deadlines, micromanage, and create work that truly is not necessary/push urgency when there is no real urgency. I had other offers prior to accepting this job that may still be options, and going back to my old job (for a pay cut) might also be an option. I can’t tell if this is just burnout, growing pains, or just an untenable work environment. Would you ride it out for a year at new job or pursue other options? HELP!
