The 26th is “Christmas Day Observed.” Which for transactional people means, congratulations, you get no real day off for the holiday! There is no way clients will be observing anything on the Monday after Christmas on the last week before the year end.
Coach
Wait, your clients observe christmas when it’s on a weekday?
We only have the 26th “off”.
We get 12/23 and 12/26 off

Half of 12/23 and 12/26, and 1/2 “off” though as noted above there’s no way we’ll get these days in corporate. Kinda screwed by having Christmas on a Sunday because that’s one of the only protected holidays all year
couldnt agree more and if it helps I’m in dispute but with a trial coming up - no way are we getting any time off
26th only. But oddly they are giving us the 12/30 off for New Years instead of 1/2.

We don’t get anything for new years. Just the 26th, then MLK Day 🙂

Lol
What's a holiday?
Lol seriously. Since when does it matter to associates that the firm allows IT, HR, and legal assistants to take the day off?

No - not for transactional lawyers. Deals need to get done before EOY.
Holiday just means you don’t get flagged for not having 8 hours entered into the system. I worked December 24-January 2nd last year. Ain’t no holidays in fourth quarter.
23 and 26 here.
