Industry conferences with good networking and actually worthwhile sessions? Or am I doomed to bad coffee and sales pitches?

It takes me time to warm up & connect to new people, esp. in casual settings. Anyone any strategies how to deal with that? I see I am missing out on good and deeper connections.

My husband wants to get into PM work in construction (Ideally WFH). Currently he’s doing lighting protection but has been very ambitious and deals a lot with multiple contractors on sites. He should be taking his Journeyman certification test early next year. Any advice for how he can make the shift into the PM world? He’s working to get his CAPM early March 2023 and should have his associates in business be the end of 2023. And advice is appreciated :)

Interviewing for Cyber Sec role. At very beginning they ask salary exp. I said usual way to postpone that question, and to figure out their range for role. On final interview and I mentioned 85-95k and they said it’s on the lower end for role…. Did I lowball myself?

Have interviewed a couple of people from WK over the past few weeks and have been hearing a lot about how it’s becoming a pretty horrible place to work since Susan came onboard. The criticism was more around actually working there than the work itself but is it really that bad? Been doing privacy for about a year now in-house. Got my CIPP/US.
Having major imposter syndrome still. I feel like the minute I finally have a grasp, something changes. The law and nuances just seem overwhelming. Maybe it’s just a lack of guidance/uniformity in the US. I’m not sure if I feel this way because it is simply the nature of the work or because I’m just not capable.
