McKinsey & Company Interviewing at McKinsey & Company and recruiter informed me I’d be based out of “North America” and can work in any city where there’s a McK office. I’ve seen several posts here about people being assigned to a home office, even if working remotely most of the time. Curious if this more general assignment is new?

Currently interviewing for a role at Amazon that is listed as a CW position, but I have direct experience in the product and capabilities this role is seeking, and the hiring manager is moving me forward. What is the likelihood that if I tried to negotiate from a CW to FTE, I would get the position?

I have been interviewing for a job. I think I will get an offer. On paper everything is great. ~30k more than I’m making now, plus larger bonus and more profit sharing. Everyone seemed nice. I know someone who works there, and she says it’s great. I hesitate because I love my job. I have the best boss I’ve ever had and genuinely like coming to work. I’ve never had that before. I have passed the screening for BCG and McK, and will perform Casey and Imbellus respectively this weekend. Applied with 8 YOE in petrochemical industry. My question is about case interview preparation, I have been mainly practicing candidate-led style so far and don't have much info about interviewer-led approach that McK utilizes. Considering short time-frame to prepare, which strategy should I follow? Are these styles very different?

Moving from T2 to McKinsey. How do vacation requests work? I have family and friends getting married this fall in weddings delayed because of covid, but I’ll just have started so wanted to get a sense of how realistic taking vacation this fall would be and how to approach taking it (e.g. mention to HR, staffing). Read that McK is paying 2K higher than BCG this year which means BCG will probably raise again next year to at least match. However, they can’t just copy McK with 2K to match because that would look bad so they’ll have to beat it again. Then McK and Bain will follow. Barring a devastating recession, I’m guessing this means MBB is all getting raises again next year?
