Is 250k TC for a Director level position in industry the average for someone exiting a 200k TC manager position in consulting? Total 10 YOE with last 3 in consulting. Is the compensation and jump in title worth putting my small family through the trouble of relocating between coasts? Not sure I will see many more Director level exit opportunities if I let this pass and keep looking closer to home.

First time posting here but… I’m currently a 1st year Tax Analyst making 58,000 plus bonus. I was never informed on how raises work for this company, but it’s the end of the year and there has not been any talk of performance evaluation, which I assumed was when compensation would be covered. Hello! Looking at an opportunity with established startup in UK that's just been acquired by a large co. I'm US based and my salary is around $250k (NYC) -I've been asked my expectation without the startup giving me a range to work from (though I've asked). I'm not sure how to reply to them because I have a feeling that my requirement may be out of their range and while I don't want to undercut my value, I also don't want to be cut out of the process because it's an interesting co. Any advice?
