Nah. It has a 100% acceptance rate for all service lines globally.

I started recently. Would say they’re pretty selective. I went through a ton of interviews over the course of a month and a half and did a 4 hour case study. They definitely prefer big 4 experience and they also will typically have you take a step back (I.e., senior to associate) if you’ve been in your current role for less than a year and/or you don’t have the requisite experience.
Would also say there’s a market component to it as well (I.e., hiring is likely slowing now due to the economy, this selectivity is going up and vice versa)
Also, there are a lot of people on fishbowl who enjoy the anonymous component of it and use it as an opportunity to be rude, try to not let it bother you.
A little more context on the “step back” comment. Depending on service line, it is often due to the fact our path is Analyst -> Associate -> Senior Associate while it’s Associate -> Senior Associate at other firms. So our Associates are loosely one level above and it can continue all the way up the ranks. The pool has been diluted with a bunch of B4 title matches for experienced resources that were sort of promotions, but that used to be the general rule.

I got rejected AMA
As selective as possible. Need big 4 FDD experience for TAG if that’s the group you’re interested in.
Sure!!
Good Answer. Some service lines are more selective than others. Personally, I did 4 interviews before I got my offer. I got the job straight out of university with no Big 4 experience. I am in the Tax service line.
It depends on the timing and group. The group I joined was hiring aggressively so it seemed easier to get an offer then. Nowadays it’s not as aggressive so it would be more difficult
