Got an interview at Google for a role as a Sales Strategy Associate. Any tips/ advice from those who have interviewed?

Any advice on getting your foot in the door in the Big 4 companies or the like, ie: PwC, Deloitte, etc. I feel like I have the perfect experience for some of these posted roles but the online application process is a black hole. I’ve seen my resume ‘in review’ for 6+ months or more. Do people only get interviewed for these roles through networking?

I’m in talks with management about being a candidate for a new position, Project Manager. This would be a promotion for me; however, a member of my team indicated the company may not want to increase compensation for this role even though I would have more responsibilities. It was even stated that “They may even want to fire people who asked for more money.” I am staggered. Do you advice for me? Should I look elsewhere? Any referrals? Has anyone heard of business value consultant roles (my understanding is that they work closely with sales)? Is this a common group/role at tech companies and is it highly regarded?

What do you think is a reasonable salary for an AS starting at a new agency? Was an AE in their previous role. NYC. Almost 4 years experience on 360 clients at a big agency.

Amazon had initially scheduled 4 rounds of interview on 2 consecutive days. I finished 2 rounds in the first day. On the second day, they rescheduled one interview to the next week and then they canceled both the rounds. Does this mean I'm out of the process?

AC 1.2 years experience & ~1year product management experience looking to exit to Tech (Pm/strategy).

What is the interview process?

I started a firm with three other colleagues about a year and a half ago. We all came from the same bigger firm and now obviously we are considered a very small. We want to make our first hire and hire someone for around $100,000 as a manager to manage around $200,000 of work. They came back at $120,000. After taxes and benefits that’s $150k to manage and prepare $200k of work. Anyone own a smaller firm who can share opinion? How much work should one manage for that kind of salary?
