I’ve gone the opposite route- from an ESG/SI investment specialist route into circular economy and resource management (UK-based though). It’s been a breath of fresh air so far! (pun intended)
I do! I am currently having my dream job in sustainability and consider going back to corporate jobs.. Mainly due to poor management, but also because working on such purpose, i add a lot of pressure on my shoulders. I am in the health care industry which is already purpose driven industry. Also, I have started to look for corporate jobs and had couple interviews and it becomes quite difficult to convince how sustainability links to recruiting companies' business strategy.. For me, working in sustainability has given a new pair of eyes... I see my former job completely differently and it unlocks many possibilities to innovate. But recruiters don't care. They want people able to do corporate jobs. Maybe it's too early for some companies to recognise the value added of sustainability..
Why are you considering to go back to corporate job??
