May I know how WLB in this company, I see in glassdoor and ambitions contains positive and negative. Is it worth to join? Is it useful for me to enhance my career for long run? How about the retention pay? If we leave the company we need to pay entire retention pay?I have other wipro and CTS, which company is better to join?

I don't work for the federal government, so I'm not worried just yet. But I know there are ripple effects that may hit state and local governments, so I'm naturally worried about that. A former colleague who now works in the private sector lost his job because contracts were canceled. I don't think the public realizes yet how widespread the effects are going to be.
my contract with DHS has been canceled after all the paperwork background check everything went well bc of the new administration
Sad for the quality people that will be lost and the trust that has been violated when these people were offered jobs. Not every government work is a saint but many were and, for those, I am sorry. I personally have retired for health reasons and am glad not to be in limbo like so many are now. Wishing you the best, folks...
Yes! And the flooded job market with all the illegal firings
With the government run the way it is, it was only a matter of time that this would have happened. You might as well rip the bandaid off now.
The question isn’t really cutting those services, it finding who is getting payed out and cared for who shouldn’t. Quite honestly SS was designed as a short term solution that lasted way long after the Great Depression. Social security was doomed to fail. Its needs to go away but that would have to be a way that makes sense and there are non at the moment. I don’t trust government to do anything right. If they mess up there a no consequences but if I mess up on my taxes there consequences.
I lost my position with the federal government as a probationary employee. I was worried I would be let go. I did not take the payout because there was so much conflicting information. I put my family at risk based on that decision, I wish the media and administration would behave with some empathy and dignity . These are people that have been impacted and everyone is not a slacker.
Not at all, I work for a contractor for the Federal government and my job isn't redundant or pointless so I'm not going anywhere, but I'm all for as small a government as possible so if they wanted to lay me off because of that I'd be cool with it 🤷
You'll need to care about what you do, it serves a purpose and is intended for the betterment of everyone and thing you do. Please 🥺 stop bickering and start working together or at least because you make laws passed by government(s) come to life and hopefully benefit of most, not necessary all, because perfection is almost impossible to achieve as a human being. Love one another and serve eachother as a family of human beings with care and consideration. Just some small advice from a none politician, but one who trained to become one. Cheers 🍻🥂❤️
Damn right I'm worried about my job. It took me 20 years to get this government job and the only reason I got it was because the first Trump administration finally allowed people without college degrees to apply. Now my small agency has dumped over 10% of the staff and they are looking at identifying the next wave of staff to cut so they can get to Musk/Trump's requirement to cut 25-50% of the agency. I'm expecting that nearly all the admin staff (like me) will get cut.
I'm retiring ASAP. As a woman, I'm afraid I could be dubbed a DEI hire if senior officers in the military are. Unfortunately the BOC is backed up 120 days because so many people are trying to retire. I'm also afraid that anything we put in the 5 bullet points could be twisted around.
I don't blame you. I'm sure the listed accomplishments will be used to train AI.
Yup. Very concerned. I’m a contractor and we’re still under a stop work order
Me too.
No, I am not. I was super enticed by the buyout. Unfortunately the buyout is not available to all government agencies. I get it if you are a GS 11 and up that you did not want to be forced out. For everyone below those pay grades it is great deal!
Definitely keeping an eye on things. Nothing has happened yet, but it's shaken up morale already for sure. Everyone is on pins and needles. Just hoping for the best and staying prepared. Are you seeing any direct impacts yet?
Not yet, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time.
Thankfully I’m not a Federal employee but I will say I’m a little worried.
As a Reservist for FEMA if it happens, it happens. I have no dependents and am prepared to not work for at least a couple of years.
I have no problem finding another job. At this point I've just come to see it as a part of life.
I also know for a fact that Judgment Day is coming.😉
Fear not about doing what the law and it's immense spirit to your founding peoples. May their spirits guide your ways towards courage and strength, which I know you have as Americans, North American's with two separate yet connected sovereign states, who have helped and have been blessed by your needs and even some wants. Tyrant's sometimes are found within as much as outside and your Declaration of Independence and Constitution of a people United in care not gain over another, but in the spirit of cooperation and betterment of eachother. God bless America and Canada and Mexico, let alone the World 🌎🌍! No greater Law of Love is there than this, Yeah?.....
Yes, I'm a state contractor working in Texas. Program and funding cuts have me very worried.

I’m not a federal employee but I’m definitely nervous.
