Thoughts on Wealth Management as an industry? Offered a role to work under a senior FA and eventually take over the book (~$800M AUM and growing). It sounds great, but I am worried about the disruption this industry is facing with Robo advisors and other low cost, DIY options. I’d want to make sure the clients stay through the transition, and I don’t want to join a dying industry. Thoughts and advice?

I recently accepted a job that I quite overqualified for because I’m in need of a job. I got hired as a Marketing Manager and work directly with the Marketing Director. Come to find out my director is still in school and has absolutely no marketing experience. She’s been with the company for 4 months. They seem to want to utilize my complete skills set and make up for her lack of marketing knowledge but maintain her position as director and pay me a entry level marketing manager salary. Advice?

What’s a good salary range for senior-level pre-sales leadership position for pre-ipo start ups? The title is senior manager but directly reports to the head of sales for that vertical. I assume it’s similar to director positions.

Any input on job offerings I’ve received. Morgan Stanley CRU risk officer pay is $70k with a less than 10% bonus. And KeyBank position is a private client advisor pay is $67k but bonus can range from $10k -$25k depending on performance and other compensation factors. A HR question I really want to understand. ISRS HR quoted a podcast "The not so great resignation" saying 70% regret leaving and many want to go back to old employer. If this really the case the employee likely left due to higher pay at the new company. If they want to boomerang back they will likely come back at even a higher rate than they left the new company for. So getting double raise when they boomeranged. Isn't it unbeneficial, why not just give employee a 7% raise in the first place?

My first time applying and getting an offer for a job posting without a salary on it, aka non-government job. $21k below what I currently make and $3k below the minimum I told them- I went for a job with a bigger title and more responsibility. Other companies need to learn from government jobs. Today I’m loving that my current government job appreciates my worth.

In Nov. I signed a 2yr contract to be a Data Entry Specialist once I started in April they changed the job title to Date Analyst. The salary is based on job title and average for it in my state. How do I go about bringing this up and a salary change to match?

Applying to roles within the same federal agency. I know you need one year within the probationary period, but can I apply to a higher GS level? For example, if I'm GS 9, receive a promotion to GS 11 at the end of probation, would i be able to apply to GS 13 roles if I'm qualified?
