Hi fishes,
I am planning a switch so was going through some salary data for a software engineer. My ex-senior manager recommended me a website: Growceed.com which helped me a lot in getting clarification about a lot of things but I am in doubt whether the average salaries of software engineer mentioned on Growceed.com really that much in top MNC companies.

BD as in business development? I’d say that’s more of a sales role than a tech role. Whether you find that to be interesting / strategic or not is a personal preference. But it’s a very different skill set.
I disagree with the two other commenters. BD, especially when selling products that are technical or complex, can be extremely strategic. You also get the dopamine hits from short term wins, vs. product where things usually take much longer.
I have been in BD, delivery, consulting, and product roles in my career. I think the BD and the Product are probably the more strategic of the 4 roles, but I would consider BD the most strategic of the roles that I've played.
I also don't believe in the "you have to have the right personality to do sales" mantra. Many BD folks I know are introverts - they just take a different approach than the extroverts that sales tends to be stereotyped as being.
Good luck either way.
Both roles can look very different depending on the organization you’re in and the product you’re selling/working on. From my experience I higher up I move in product the more strategic it has become and less feature driven. You could try exploring slightly smaller orgs where product adjacent tasks are not owned by other teams but are housed in product.
Go for a strategy and operations role instead. BD is not very strategy and more sales feeding into strategy
