Go for PROSCI change mgmt certification if you are interested in doing CM Role.
If you can't afford the ProSci certification (completely understandable!), spend some time doing self study. There are tons of books, and even the ProSci website has a lot of great stuff.
Then you can say that you are "ProSci trained" or "ProSci capable". The experience and knowledge is what employers want. The certificate can come later.
Getting a certification is one thing but knowing how to utilize it is another. I chose APMG over Prosci and it was the best decision. It’s served me well over the past 10 years.
Do self study for an ACMP certification.
I was going to suggest as well, but it requires YOE and a course to achieve certification. ACMP would be a good start for OP to locate cheaper courses/information that don't provide certification.
OP, it sounds like you're outside of the US. Not familiar with the requirements, but APMG is pretty strong in Europe and APAC.
The ProSci certification is more popular recently.
If you are going for one certification, I'd go with that one. I have it, and recruiters are constantly reaching out because of it.
