Is it bad to apply to 2 different roles in different service lines at the same firm?

Cold applied for an awesome role, had an interview with hiring manager, recruiter, and given a pretty hefty assignment that I’m really proud of nailing. They followed up with an email asking for 4-5 days that I am available for a full day of interviews. Gave them 4-5 days, started planning for how I’d get those days off work during insane times at current job, and now not a single word from them to confirm a date. Been over a week now. Sad. Pretty jaded. What can I do? Already followed up

I was interviewed for a perticular customer, which went well and also received an offer. Few days before of my joining date, i came to know that the technology stack from customer got changed and customer had no requirement for which i was hired. Just became an ACD. Im in a limbo. Half of the time im being treated as a Super Senior AD and the other half im being treated as a Almost CD. Then when im scoped over work that my CD and I oversee, some people are asking me how does my role differ from the CD’s, as they tend to look at me as an unnecessary layer for approvals.
