Is it just me, or does everyone have a side hustle these days just to keep up? I’m currently consulting on the side, but it’s eating into my weekends and leaving me exhausted for Monday morning. Does anyone manage to balance a side business with a full-time role without crashing?

Getting married in September, have a vax only policy for guests. I was approached on LinkedIn for an early career recruiting role in DFW, TX. I don't have direct experience, but I have the university experience/connections from working in career services. This is the first time I've considered work outside of higher education. I said my salary expectations are minimum $90k and that didn't seem to be an issue. Am I asking too little, too much? How can I know I'm getting the best salary and not just settling at the low end of the range?

What are your thoughts on pay discrepancies based on family structure? Ex. Two people do the same job but one is paid more or given a larger bonus “because they have kids and you live alone” or “because their family is struggling”.
