Is it just me or is WLB in consulting really not that bad? Like... it's WAY overblown. Personally, I'll take a 9-12 where I work with smart colleagues on interesting projects over a mind numbing 9-5 any day of the week. Also, based on my observation, most people with 9-5 jobs just end up cooking and watching Netflix. I surf almost every morning. Take multiple vacations per year. If I have an important personal obligation on a weeknight evening, I block it on my calendar, and it's respected.

Just got let go and my manager said part of it was because I was looking for other jobs. I didn't look for other jobs at work, so I'm not sure how they could have known that unless a coworker snitched on me. Is it worth it to try and find out who or should I just leave it? Can't deny that I'm seriously pissed off about it.
