Is it me or is it super hard to get a job in a Canadian bank? I've tried referrals, getting extra certificates to stand out and managed to get a little financial background. What is it? I heard the nepotism there is unreal. I've applied to Scotiabank at least 31 times i the last 2 years - 75% of the jobs i should've minimum got a screening call.

I think I may have made a huge mistake today. My skip level director sent out an email about something and asked us for feedback. I sent back a note and provided some. One of the things I said was that our job satisfaction might be improved if we could do more of X kind of work instead of Y kind of work that we do so much of in our group. The next thing I know, I get a ping from his EA to set up time for me to chat with him and my director tomorrow. I am getting in trouble tomorrow, right?

I’m scared COVID is just beginning and we’ll see climate change lockdowns and huge restrictions in the next years.

Like travel will probably be restricted for “essential reasons only”. We won’t be able to buy meat as often, etc.

I’m also scared that the QR vaccine passports for entertainment (like in Europe, Canada and NYC) will never disappear and that we’ll keep have to keep using them for our booster shots and maybe climate reasons.
(I’m fully vaxx-for now, untl they require more doses)
