I’m scared COVID is just beginning and we’ll see climate change lockdowns and huge restrictions in the next years.

Like travel will probably be restricted for “essential reasons only”. We won’t be able to buy meat as often, etc.

I’m also scared that the QR vaccine passports for entertainment (like in Europe, Canada and NYC) will never disappear and that we’ll keep have to keep using them for our booster shots and maybe climate reasons.
(I’m fully vaxx-for now, untl they require more doses)

SCC, agree. People blindly accepting all these mandates is crazy. Once liberties are gone they won't be reversed.

Look at your plane ticket. You’re paying a 9/11 security fee. Think about that…a ‘temporary’ fee that you still pay for something that happened 20 years ago. Government *loves* opportunities that are ostensibly an existential threat where the only solutions are to cede power and pay more in taxes.

Help! Canada is becoming a second North Korea!

Most “climate change” predictions have proved laughably wrong. Nuclear holds the promise of a clean and cheap abundance of power. We…we figured out how to split the atom. Woah. That’s like hacking into the source code of the universe.

We went to the moon on slide rules, hit a few golf balls, left the keys and the car behind.

And yet we’re sold the narrative that the world is going to go to hell in a hand basket and that we will all have to sacrifice (well…”we” as in…“you and me”). 400+ private planes flew into Glasgow for COP26. Guess they’re too good for Zoom calls, much less flying business class.

We cris crossed the country in superhighways in less time than it takes to fill a basic pothole these days.

China has hypersonic missiles and maglev trains, yet they’re “developing?”

We don’t think big like we used to. Where did our unbridled optimism go?

What is a climate change lock down?

People don't care enough about the environment and climate change for that to happen. They just don't, and likely never will until it's too late

How would you handle not getting a lunch break when you are a salaried employee treating patients for 40 hours a week? I don’t get documentation time either, but all notes are to be completed the same day. Some of us have reached out to HR and we’re told to discuss it with the regional director, but the regional director says we’d have to come in early or leave late to block out a lunch break. My commute is an hour each way, so I’d prefer not to make my day any longer. Advice?

Did you do the NIPT? I just had my first prenatal appt and they scheduled me for the NIPT at 10 weeks. I’m a little nervous and anxious. Did anyone get it and got a false positive? Do you not recommend it? I wish I could ask family but we’re not telling anyone until the 12 weeks mark.

It’s looking like my job is gonna start asking us to return to the office. We have an open office plan and before we wfh FT I would save all my work for my telework days bc I can’t get shit done in the office. I’m having major anxiety about them making this decision. I know I’m not alone that people don’t want to return to the office. My ADHD and the open office just makes working from the office a nightmare and I’m feeling really nervous and kind of resentful.

529 Plan VERSUS Prepaid

We live in Florida and currently have a Freshman in High School and a 16 month old. We hear from our friends and family with college bound children "I wish we would have done Florida PrePaid." After obviously ignoring this for years, we are finally trying to do it before "it's too late" for both children.

Does anyone have recommendations on which plan to go with for each child? I once did the pros and cons on a whiteboard and it seemed like 529 was better.

Seems that the vaccine that usually takes more than 10 years to develop, test for side effects and go through the regulation process is being very fast tracked to roll out - which is a super great thing to potentially eradicate the virus. on the other side of the spectrum, people with life sciences n healthcare insights, how reliable and safe would you say vaccine (being fast tracked) is...?
