We think of holding a gun as some normal thing. The majority of humans on earth do not, or will not ever participate in combat. Even if they’re in a war stricken place. The military is roughly a million people, many of which are support elements. So keeping a weapon on you, or even owning them is common. But you’re not weird for not wanting to shoot recreationally or even own one. The chances of you needing it are even astronomical depending on where you live. But needing it an not having it…
Totally get what you're saying here. I guess I felt like it was normal for me while I was in the army, and now I am avoiding ever letting it be normal again by not even owning firearms.
Depends on what you went through in combat, training, field experience etc... It's not uncommon for you not to want to see or hold a gun. Part of it could be PTSD.
Thanks, I've had that thought too.
Just asking so I'm in a situation courts took my guns rights but I'm a high lol executive government administration an need to know can I carry and will some1 give me side arm I need to be proactive in this dealing
Are you saying that the courts took your rights, but you still want to carry? Probably not if they court said no...
Oh yes. I can personally relate, as after retiring from the Army three years ago, I too have no desire to ever hold or see a firearm again. I think it's a perfectly understandable reaction to the trauma that comes with years of military service; it's often easier just to avoid firearms altogether.
