Hi fishes, Can you guys enlighten me how CGI in terms of WLB & Ethics employeecentricity. To me they seem very aggressive in hiring & on-boarding but not so good at paying. They are pushing me to accept an unofficial offer letter by 3 to 4 business hours. And pushing my joining date like anything. If an organization creates such kinds of pressure to an employee prior to joining, does it not show how much they will put it after? CGI Tata Consultancy Deloitte Accenture
I dont know. Im in dilemma to join IBM. Really not sure why. Might be like I dont know anyone who works in IBM. So I'm not aware of work culture and other things. Please provide ur suggestions. I have 5.7 yrs experience. Planning to work in future company for 2 yrs or 1.5 yrs or may be changed based on the project scope and teams. I have offers from Accenture and IBM. Accenture is providing 12.04 fixed and Vp 21% JB- 2lakhs IBM offers 15.2 without gratuity JB- 1lakh

see, I would suggest to work for a while in the project. Get to know about the company, client and work culture.
Then make a move to mgr and request for a transition to the dev team. If you show your keen ness to work in this project, mgr may consider your request later.
Don't be impulsive. In IT we many a times don't get the prj and role we want but have to work and show that we are worthy to get it.
You can work on some support tickets which are enhancement requests requiring code changes and new requirements. This will give confidence to your mgr that you can handle dev as well, if given a chance.
Believe me when I say, things get better with time.
In worst case, if you are still unhappy with the work, discuss with mgr for next steps or ask for release.
I have just joined actually. Organization work culture is new. And in Wipro i had very good team n project so I m kind of scared but totally satisfied with ur points. It gave me a relief. Will try. Thanks 😊
