Is it possible older journalists confuse changing habits with lack of interest? I was told my generation "does not watch the news properly" because we prefer clips and TikTok explainers. But I am literally training to produce news.

I'm of an older generation, so it does seem a little bit incomplete to me to be getting the majority of your news from clips, when my generation watched hours and hours of news content in order to get a full picture. But I also understand that a lot of that was filler and isn't necessary in today's media environment.

I get that, and I respect the way earlier generations consumed news. But for me, clips are part of how people actually engage now. Training in this space means learning to balance depth with the formats audiences actually use.

I think habits are shifting, not interest. News consumption looks different now, but it does not mean younger people care less. We just engage with it in formats that fit our lives.

Hi all, how many of the big 4 accept 3 months notice period?

I feel like I was straight up lied to during the interview process. “lots of opportunities to hit quota”. I’m sitting here with only one demo two months after joining the company. it looks like our team has only two people doing demos, and demos are only happening once every two weeks. At this rate, I don’t think I’ll be even close to hitting OTE. Are there any other companies hiring right now? I’ll have a discussion about my concerns with my manager soon, but there’s too many red flags here.
