I'm of an older generation, so it does seem a little bit incomplete to me to be getting the majority of your news from clips, when my generation watched hours and hours of news content in order to get a full picture. But I also understand that a lot of that was filler and isn't necessary in today's media environment.
I get that, and I respect the way earlier generations consumed news. But for me, clips are part of how people actually engage now. Training in this space means learning to balance depth with the formats audiences actually use.
I think habits are shifting, not interest. News consumption looks different now, but it does not mean younger people care less. We just engage with it in formats that fit our lives.
