Not typically the main clients but often the client side has a cost consultant type person who does see full production breakdowns. Usually they’ll just be like yea this is normal to the main clients in my experience
Hooray 3rd party “cost” consultants!
Curious what they charge to drag on pre-pro so it costs more.
We always show them detail, in our own spreadsheets. Does not matter if they have cost consultants or not.

Yep, sounds like your client has a production cost consultant. Not always customary but pretty standard stuff on the whole.
They are buying so they have a right to see the line by line. Should be easy to explain any call outs if every line is true.
Do you have a cost consultant? If so the client should work with your producer directly during the bidding process. Otherwise this is not normal.
I’d say about 1 in 4 clients I work on ask for this and we always give it to them without hesitation. You shouldn’t be hiding things there anyway.
It used to be common to share an AICP bid. This sounds like a cost consultant. And they will be the bane of your existence.
Our cost consultant is awesome fwiw so I think there definitely are good ones out there too
We always itemize. Cost consultants or no.
