I received TCS offer 10 days after I joined another company as they took more than month to release my offer. My BGV came negative saying you are working for another employer. I tried convincing HR that I am ready to resign now again and join TCS within a month as my initial joining date with TCS is also in December but she says offer is cancelled as you didn't inform me of your joining to another company. No idea, but have seen in LinkedIn many managers and leaders holding distance MBA degree.

Hmmm everything has it's pros and cons. I have done a full time MBA, the classroom experience, meeting with peers and networking is unparalleled when it comes to a distance/ part time programme.
But I get that people want to do it owing to many personal reasons. It might help you to switch your current role within the company. After you have gained the required experience then you can switch outside where your experience counts and not the MBA degree.
Only if you're a new MBA graduate, your college and the kind of programme you did comes into play.
In your experience, do you think a part time MBA would equate an employee in terms of career progression and compensation with a full time MBA employee?
I think a big time concern is also the fact whether companies give equal credibility to part time MBA degree holders or not . Make sure you do thorough research about the acceptance of such degrees before investing your time, money and energy.
I agree. That's the main concern. If a part time MBA is not considered while switching companies, it wouldn't be worthwhile.
