My friend got offers from Rockwell automation, inc and Capgemini.
The offer iis 17 LPA fixed from CapG and 17.5 Fixed + 2.5 Variable from Rockwell.
He wants to work as consultant and CapG is giving him that and Rockwell is giving him Developer designation.
His yoe is 4.5y. He is confused about where he should join.
PS He is in IOT and isn't in fishbowl yet. He will be soon, but in the meanwhile, it will be nice if anyone can clear the confusion or recommend something.

And then I’ll get a complaint from an AGC about bills being too high because I’m filing things… 🙄
Employment: was 3 to 1, but now 2 to 1.
3 attorneys to 1 support.
Insurance defense 1 assistant to 2 attorneys
I’ll start: 6 attorney PI firm with heavy med-mal and catastrophic injury focus. We’ve got 4 legal assistants (1 is a paralegal), 2 law clerks, 1 medical records assistant, a secretary and an office manager.
Family law: 3 to 1 (2 paralegals, 1 receptionist support me).
In my prior forms 2 support:1 attorney and 3 support : 1 attorney.
In my experience when there is less support staff, the burnout for attorneys and staff is frequent
Practice area is commercial and business litigation, mostly complex. We have 6 attorneys with 2 assistants. No paralegals, but the assistants do a bit more than just typing. We typically have 3 assistants but one recently left and we’ve elected not to fill their spot for now. My understanding is that many of the bigger law firms in my city are 4 attorneys to 1 staff member.
Most places I've worked (Employment or ID) have been 3 attorneys to 1 assistant and sometimes if you're lucky also 1 paralegal.
General litigation - around 5/6 attorneys to one LAA. And they are moving towards 8:1 unfortunately. Last firm I was at was 5/6 to 1 as well.
Paralegals are assigned different matters and different attorneys except for a select couple that just worked with the same group all the time.
Insurance defense. 1 secretary to 2 attorneys. 1 paralegal to 5-6 attorneys
12 attorneys : 5 paralegals, plus a couple assistants
But my last firm was 5 attorneys to 1 paralegal and 1 assistant. I was the paralegal 💀

Big law, general commercial lit. My office is: 45 litigators supported by 7 assistants, 3 paralegals (one only works for a 4-person group though), 2 docketing clerks, I think like 3 office services folks, and one assigned EDS specialist who doesn’t even sit in our office. No, it is NOT enough people.
Technically we share resources with other offices—and have some non-litigation specific teams like a graphics department and a proofing department—but support staff unsurprisingly prioritize work with their own offices (and the ones who are assigned to a general pool just aren’t good at their jobs). Plus, we’re one of 3 West Coast offices and everyone else is east of us.

I’m lucky. Our office is close to 1:1. 2 partners, 2 senior associates, 1 junior associate, 4 paralegals, and we’re interviewing to add more paralegals and legal assistants
Yeesh, maybe I’ve got it good after all since we’re at about 2:1 on assistants. Maybe I’m just underutilizing the help we do have?
