Getting out of education? I am recently credentialed and not yet teaching. I was accepted into a 4month i.t. program that is guaranteeing me 2x the starting teacher salary in four months. After working as a B.T. for 7 years and finally getting my cred, should I make the leap of faith to IT or wait until August for a position to possibly open?

Have final round interviews at BCG tomorrow. I'm at S& right now at the SA level. Father had a sudden health issue come up this week and it's got me off my game. HELP! 30+ years of teaching Sped and I’m at a loss. 6th grade student in Middle School with Doose syndrome. Prior to MS, the elementary said he never caused problems. Since the 1st day, he is disruptive in class, refuses to work, and is disrespectful. He has a one-on-one para but she is in tears most days because of his behavior. Parents agreed with a behavior plan - he thinks it’s a game. Parents say he is not allowed to be this way at home.
