Ed's right. At your level you have no leverage. In the companies view you haven't developed any skills and are easily replaceable.
Always try but manage your expectations.
Phase of career and the experience you bring is the deciding factor. I was well above pay grade when I interviewed; they appreciated what I brought to the table and found the money (and then some) and bumped the title/role to mirror the compensation. It can happen.
You can always ask. But they may not have more money or be willing to go out of range since there may be others in that same position and they want to keep it generally even
ALWAYS ask for more money. Worst they can say is, "no," and you rarely get what you don't ask for.
I asked for 5k more on my first job. They thought it was cute, smiled politely, offered me $2,500 more and told me not to push it.
Like SVP1 said-manage expectations.
If they want you badly enough they can often try to figure something out. It’s worth trying, the worst that can happen is they say no
