Agree with SVP1. I actually pay about the same / a teeny bit less in taxes. And the salaries appear to be higher based on my own experience and what I have seen reported here. However, the CAD is currently .75 cents on the dollar so a USD is worth more.

Toronto/34/F/96K not easy to move to Canada.
Slightly less than US with way higher taxes
@Mediacom1 worth checking again on the tax comment. Have worked both sides of the border and never taxed higher than the US. Admittedly worked in high tax places like DC but was very disappointed to find that State and Fed taxes exceeded what I paid in tax in Canada, despite years of hearing this myth.
Uh and free healthcare and better quality of life
Healthcare isnt free. You pay for it. Just in a different way. Like sales tax. Cost of living things like groceries are more, fees you pay to get a license... everything costs more. Quality of life is debatable and depends on where you're comparing to. Overall, I like it (came from US) but there are pros and cons
Ya but you don't have an ass for a president and no guns!
Also. I'm sorry healthcare is $60 a month. Everything is covered. Surgeries etc. So a VERY different world than the US.
How does anyone afford to live in Vancouver? Love it there but the prices seem crazy.
