Is there anyone with dyslexia doing this job? I’m fine reading, but I avoid it because I’m still pretty slow. I’m in a regulatory group (so a mix of transactions and litigation) and I think the partners are starting to notice how slow I am. Any advice?

Hi fellow dyslexic in regulatory! Glad to know there’s more of us out there :) Honestly, as long as “slow” isn’t equating to blowing deadlines, it is none of their business how long it takes you to digest written info to give them the work product they’re asking you for. Sure you might bill more than other associates on a certain matters but the most important thing is that you’re still meeting the same deadlines and staying within the client’s budget/comfort zones. Feel free to DM me if you want to chat more

Any corp associates looking to move from biglaw to a boutique? My firm remains busy and is looking to bring on a couple associates. We’re all either hybrid or fully remote, and that’s here to stay. 1500 billables and we’re serious about it. Work is primarily ECVC, Outside GC, M&A. Pay is roughly 30% biglaw haircut, with incentive bonuses for hours and originations.
