It seems like every time our legal team establishes standard review timelines, an executive suddenly needs a bespoke vendor agreement signed by the end of the day. Making me feel incredibly stressed out when trying to balance risk mitigation with speed. How do you establish firm boundaries with internal stakeholders like these?

Stakeholders have ZERO incentive to give things to you early. There’s no penalty AND they’ve learned that if they sandbag you at the last minute their deal still gets approved. They DNGAF about risk to the company.

They can also lie during their meetings and say Legal is holding a deal up (when in fact it was sent to Legal at 5:59pm the day before said meeting)

Need to be more proactive and get all up in everyone’s business.

You need to attend other team’s weekly meetings so you can see what’s coming down the pipeline. It’s very easy to sell- “we want to forecast so we can ensure we set aside bandwidth”

When do I begin adjusting? It’s been 4 months. I joined as an associate and I feel like sometimes my work is sloppy or I’m overwhelmed. I’ve gotten feedback that I’m making progress but that sounds fake. I’ve also gotten feedback that my work is sometimes sloppy. The last report I helped write had a ton of write ups on it. Feels like I’m about to get fired.

I’m a PR manager with 5 years of experience and have been applying for copywriting, project management and comms strategy positions with no luck. I’ve been applying since April and have only had 2 interviews. Any advice on how best to transition or what other fields I can look into?

I just finished a big jury trial with a senior partner (SP). There were co-parties w/separate counsel. SP mentally checked out, to the point that co-counsel was asking what SP was doing/if SP was okay. I ended up handling most everything. SP did a few parts but went rogue and did things that were offensive/risky/bad for client. It became clear that SP is not performing like SP used to and may be a liability. Do I tell someone at my firm? Don’t want to offend SP or cause drama, but I’m concerned.

Hi Guys,
I have been assigned to a Unbillable Project, they are building one app and have recruited people from the talent pool. The project is not registered in GLOW. And they are calling it as Voluntary Contribution type project for studio. Is this what they call Internal Project in
Globant?
Will there be any impact if I don't perform as per their expectations?
Will it be of any benefit to me if work in voluntary project? Will HR recognize this project contribution as valid work?

I wish Ad salaries were like NBA salaries. Each year you get a ridiculous raise no matter how shitty you perform. If you are good you get bird rights and no layoff clauses. And retire at 35.

Anyone have any reliable free resources (CLEs, practice guides) for tax law and estate/probate/wills? I don’t have the money for anything paid, but I’d like to selfstudy these areas in the meantime.
