It would be impossible to pick just one favorite patient... between dogs, cats, rabbits, etc., I can't even pick a favorite species! 🤣

I say bunnies!!! They are just so fluffy. But I really do get attached to all the patients that come in, it's always hard to lose one, and while I have a few favorites I love them all.

I would have to say doggies. They're always so sweet and friendly and so excited to be there.

Awww this is tough, bunnies are so cute. The floppy ears get me every time and their little cheeks when they chew. I might have to give it to the bunnies.

You're forgetting hamsters!! I love all my patients though. I want them to be healthy and happy but I hate when they have to go home

Oh no! I can't. This is not fair, don't you think? Haha

Hmm. Can I say cats?? Hahaha. I know I'm a little bit biased right there.

Okay...here goes: I’m not sure if I just want to leave my firm or private practice altogether? For those of you who have contemplated leaving private practice, how did you finally come to realize that that was really what made sense for you, as opposed to just switching firms?

Does anyone else struggle with being a freelancer while also being a natural leader? I always feel in freelance roles that they would prefer I just shut up (even though my ideas have been praised and implemented plenty), esp within my own dept. In a full-time role, taking charge is expected, but I'm feeling like I should just sit back and take orders vs trying to be proactive or having thoughts in a freelance role.

Hi, looking for some advice. I’ve been a medical assistant for 10 years, and am finishing up my bachelor’s in healthcare management. However finding hard looking for practice or office manager positions, as they’re looking for people with 3+ years of management experience. How can I get an organization to take the chance to invest in me and give me the opportunity to prove I have what it takes. We all have to start somewhere.

Hi everyone, I’m seeking some advice - my dog (8yrs old) was attacked several months ago by another dog and after she became depressed and anxious. We got her anti depression meds and those seemed to help but how a lot now a lot of signs are pointing to a potential brain tumor. To get an MRI is +1k. My mom doesn’t want to spend money but it just hurts me so much to see the behavior - she walks around in constant circles, looks sad, seizures, hides under the bed. Any advice would be appreciated.

I’m a full time receptionist for a veterinary hospital but I also manage the reception area (I answer all questions and if someone makes a mistake I’m the one the fix it) and am an in house trained veterinary assistant but can do a techs job (unlicensed) and I do help the technicians out anytime they need and I’m only getting paid $13 an hour while a crew member at arbys gets paid $15 . What should I do ?
