I’m entering salary negotiations at a Fortune 500 company and am looking for trustworthy resources for salary data that I can share with the company if they ask where I got my numbers. I know Glassdoor, but what else?

Have you had to change your start date after accepting an offer and how did it go? I told them I need to give 30 day notice and so I set my start date (incorrectly) assuming the background check and drug screen would take a few days to clear. However, the drug screen is now taking over a week and a half (still not finished, maybe tomorrow). Apparently things are much slower due to staffing issues and labs are backed up. It’s cutting into my 30 day notice significantly. Thoughts?

Considering trying to make a pivot. Currently a prosecutor. I have a lot of trial experience and did some ID work. Earlier today I was on a video conference call reviewing a Private Label Agreement template with a larger company who wishes to brand label products we develop and manufacture. Salary check. I am currently an in house attorney. 12 YOE. Large company with great coworkers doing regulatory work for the insurance industry. Good work life balance. I live in a high COL city. Out of curiosity and to test the market, I interviewed at a FAANG. Did not get the job, but found out TC was 350k, significantly higher than my TC 230k. I thought I was compensated fairly, but would love to see your thoughts.

Is anyone applying to in-house jobs and wondering how to find out salary range before investing too much time with interviews? I would like to avoid asking about salary up front but I don’t see any other way to find this information.
