It’s rare to see MBB or Big4 folks shift to boutiques. It seems like there would be upside (less travel, more leadership opportunities, ability to focus / gain industry focused expertise, similar and maybe better comp) but this doesn’t seem to be a common path. Other than the perception of lower prestige, hard to see downsides. What am I missing?

Recently got a contract job at Facebook NY. Joined LTI recently in P3 band. However not allocated any project. Got a call from the resource management team to relocate, which I rejected upfront as I was promised a role in the location I am posted. It has been over 2 weeks since I am in bench. What shall be the next steps, shall I wait for some days or start looking for other jobs as getting a project looks difficult as there are minimalist responses.

I am finishing up a project and I’m trying to document what I’ve done for my resume. What are some good metrics for someone who mainly created user stories, created dashboards, interacted with the client and developed statistical models? One of my dashboards got deployed to production but it’s to early to see the impact. My other dashboards are almost done but I’m moving on to something else.

Any guesses/predictions on when this housing market gridlock ending? Reasonable prices and reasonable mortgage rates? Umm like a 2017 or a 2018?
