It's so frustrating that every single team outing we have has to be in a bar. Not that I can't control myself around alcohol.. I've tried it once when I was 20 and then never touched it, and never wanted to. But it's when the drunk co workers start coaxing you into drinking and you have to explain you don't, that it gets annoying. I wish it were normal to celebrate in restaurants or bowling alleys. Do you have to deal with this? How do you make the situation work for you?

Long post alert; I have been interviewing with a b4 for a senior con role since Mar end. Cleared all the rounds including case study and got strong rating as well as good feedback. Fast forward to last week, the talent POC calls me up and informs that she has asked the business if the position is still open, because now they just need the business approval to roll out the offer. I immediately felt demotivated as to ‘why now’ after all rounds have been cleared (continued in the comment below)

Salam. 23M here - all my life I’ve had my back on our faith - never really prayed but had imaan (I guess). After bouts of depression from girl problems (🙄), issues within immediate family, being disappointed expectations I had for myself, etc. I’ve been working on bettering my situation over the years. So if i sell it i can’t take full profits since i don’t own it outright. I’m considering Islamic financing but have so many questions about it. Can you take an equity line? Can you write off mortgage interest?
