I’ve been binge watching bridgerton and it’s crazy how having an expansive vocabulary was the norm (even though it is fiction). Do you think poised cooperate talk should be the norm?

I absolutely love Bridgerton and I am ready for the second half of the season. I adore the way they speak in the show — but let’s be honest, it’s not exactly practical for everyday life. I would truly hate a world where poised, corporate-sounding dialogue became the norm.

I’m obsessed with that show too but could you imagine?!

No
I think it’s also overly dramatized in fiction
Productivity is best when people feel relaxed. Poised language is the opposite of relaxed

Outside counsel has been prepping company witnesses for a trial in August. It is my subject area so I am supervising outside counsel. I did not, however, choose the counsel. Trials are rare, and I just don’t think these guys have actually tried many cases. Cont. below…

Hi Fishes, I've 2.25 Years of experience in SAP Basis, but I've lost interest in the same due to not receiving proper training, inability to practice on customer's system and shifts. I'm looking forward to go for MBA/changing technology, which one would be a better option? In case of the latter can you guys suggest lucrative technologies which has little/no coding and can definitely give good packages? I've tried changing jobs in Basis for nearly one year and didn't get through. Please help me.

Alright auto fishes, I’m in the market for a entry level luxury car. Open to used or a lease. I don’t plan to use it as a daily driver, live in an HCOL. Only restriction is that I’d like to keep my monthly costs at no more than $600-$700/month (including insurance, financing / fees, etc; have a parking spot already). Doesn’t have to be a European badge. Thoughts?

I currently work at a large research institution and am in the process of getting retroactively reclassified to a new title (Long story but my PI is cheap and routinely pays ppl the bare minimum so now the Union is helping me w/ a retro reclass.) Reclass can take 2 - 6 months to process. Meanwhile, I am interviewing for industry job. If I get an industry job, what do I do if my reclass isn’t processed yet? I want the title and the money owed which may be about $15000- 20000.
