Hi All, My sister has done Computer Science engineering Bachelor degree and has 5 years of work experience in India. She is applying for MBA at https://www.kenan-flagler.unc.edu/programs/mba/full-time-mba/ and https://kelley.iu.edu/programs/full-time-mba/academics/majors-minors/marketing.html. Her overall goal is to get into Software Product management. Any suggestions if any of these MBA’s can open path in the desired space or if she is better of doing an MS in Comp engg. to further develop deeper Technology skills. Thanks

I’ve started playing around with tools like ChatGPT and Claude just to get a feel, but I’m still unsure where the bar is.
I think of it as knowing enough to use and talk about LLMs and other generative AI accurately. Understanding the power and peril of AI tools so that when you use them you don’t make dangerous mistakes. And so that you can ask the right questions and know to approach anything produced by AI with the appropriate level of skepticism.
Offering AI tools without a reason is not a good idea at all imo. Especially if no one even knows what that means internally. Just randomly sticking company data into any of the many AI tools out there is a recipe for disaster if your company has internal knowledge that should be protected or is working with another company that has sensitive IP data.
Absolutely agree, PM1. We have a private instance of ChatGPT deployed in our Azure tenancy, so it is protected from public access and all the data stays internal as well. We have an official policy in place and training to ensure value an employer is given access to the GPT instance they understand the constraints. And part of that policy is that no company data goes into any external LLM.
Same VP1. My company also has several internal AI tools we can use on behalf of our customers/clients and we might say we used AI to generate some of the data, but in a controlled applicable way. Definitely not just willy nilly no rules involved type of thing.
The other thing I notice about people that use AI for everything without a thought is how quickly their thinking diminishes when they cannot use AI.
Depending on what the desired outcome is, you need to be able to interpret the quality of the LLMs output.
