M1 Salary base for Dallas, TX?
Hi All!
I am currently a Senior Software Engineer(Backend) with 4 YOE. My current CTC is 21LPA (All Fixed) with additional Yearly bonus. I got a call from Google (Pune/Bangalore/ Remote) for Software Engineer - Backend. I have the following doubts but any insights are welcome -
1. Does the lower designation offered make any difference?
2. Kinda ambiguous, but what kind of hike or ballpark pay can I expect?
3. Any similar interviews experiences or focus areas I should prepare for?

How do you navigate getting a referral on a platform like this? Genuinely curious on if HR/Recruiting asks how you know the person you're referring, or if they don't care where the referral comes from.
Really interested in a junior PM role at Razorfish. A close friend currently works for a different Publicis org, so not sure if a referral from them would mean anything.

Working in pharma requires skills and knowledge that is unique from other verticals. Just like financial services or some other regulated industries. Having that knowledge commands a higher salary if the agency knows their stuff. If they don’t pay more for it, they probably aren’t valued by their clients or perform services that don’t involve creative or strategy. Also, pharma companies may enter into contracts that include financial incentives based on performance which should trickle down to the team in the form of bonuses.
I don’t think it would be that difficult at that level. You could probably learn quite a bit from articles, that could help you speak intelligently during an interview, indicating your level of interest. Every pharma company has their own regulations and handle things a little bit differently, but the basic premise is the same.
yes. but it can be incredibly conservative, boring or soul-sucking. limited opportunity to get truly creative, unless you're lucky to be working for a (fun) risky group.
but then again, some get to work on a product that is truly meant for the good of all ppl. it exists, but seems super rare.
OTC work is where it's at, but that's also where the most competition is.
