I’ve been offered a Senior SEC Reporting Analyst position at a large energy manufacturing company. Base of $95K, 8% bonus, 401k match. Currently in PA making $93K as an S1 but will probably be around $100-102K at end of month. Im working remotely from a VHCOL office and this SEC reporting position would be where I live, MCOL. Planning on countering to get to six figures, but wondering if the difference in COL makes up for the lack of salary increase from PA? Will be at 3 YOE in the fall

Hello, I recently was reached out to by an in-house recruiter at a similar but slightly different company than the one I currently work for. The recruiter provided a base range and an OTE range. The lower end of that range is what I am currently making. The higher end of that range is almost 200k more than my current comp. The role is almost identical. I wasn’t looking to move, but that higher end range would set my family up very nicely for our goals. But I am happy at my current company. Help?

What’s the best way to turn down a 2nd interview? I am contemplating a move to industry working at a VC, Tax Director role east coast. Looks like it will be primarily overseeing compliance with some aspect of advising on structures etc. There is another tax reporting head above me.

The potential comp is the low 200k with a 10% bonus (still higher than what I am making). I feel this is pretty low for VC standards but maybe my standards are also too high. I have generally seen 25% bonus with carry.

Any thoughts?

I know there is a lot of politics at big four and have no interest staying in a senior manager role for 6-8 years and risk a chance of still not becoming partner.
