What does this mean on your chargability YTD? and recoverability (I.e. we’re you on the bench or doing BD work if Later then it’s a bit better). Being honest I would say chances of promotion are slim to none with the trajectory. If past performance is good you could go through fine or be picked up as an IP on chargability (which may mean a PIP or CMD - an informal type of PIP).
Have been 107.5% chargeable for 3 years and rolled off a long running project. There were less open roles and the leads understood and I took up some training and was providing update every other day on the roles I've applied and took 12 days PTO to reduce unassigned time. Currently staffed since mid Feb and have promo support from previous project as that was 8+ weeks.
I know previous years performance won't be much useful again FY metrics and have been charged at L8 and L7 for my roles at client. Quite disappointed as I like the work but no comp and limited career growth so might have to jump ship soon. Thank you for helping.

Tech isn't pace, so you don't need to b worried. You won't get L8 if you aren't even staffed though; simply because other L9s pushing for L8 will be staffed. Why chose you over someone who has the same story, AND is getting paid?
Limited people who moved from other business to Technology have PACE but that's not the norm and rather an exception. Most of us are non pace so next jump would to be L8
