If you’re making it that far in the process, I’d say try to work on your interviewing skills. Hire a coach.
“I’m on the brink of bankruptcy”
“Hire a coach”
Are you interviewing for a higher position than a specialist? How long have you been a specialist?
What questions are being asked of you? Is your experience with clients in industries that are not what you are interviewing for? Or is the type of campaigns that you don’t have experience with such as lower funnel conversion based goals where as you just have experience with upper funnel awareness campaigns?
Are you interviewing for roles that are manager based where you will be managing someone and you don’t have experience with managing someone?
If they are saying someone has better experience than you. Then you need to learn how to answer the questions and articulate your lack of experience or not as strong experience better. There are ways to articulate that despite your lack of experience or not as strong experience, you can overcome that by leveraging your current experience, lessons learned, your relationships with senior people that you can go to for advice, and other knowledge you have gained that can be applied.
Also it is a tough market out there but you should never outright lie but you can embellish a bit, everyone does it. You just have to be prepared to answer questions if someone asks.
Thank you for the input!!
But no I don’t apply for any positions that involve managing jobs. I usually try to shoot for junior-entry roles
If you’re making it to the end, it’s not your experience. Hit YouTube and learn everything you can about interviewing skills. There is plenty of help there without having to spend money on a coach.
Are you looking for roles specifically listed as “paid social specialist”? Try looking for “paid social analyst” or “paid social media manager” or “paid social planner”. Those variations can give you a larger list of open jobs which you can apply to! Good luck!!!
