I’ve been working in Media planning and buying for almost 10 years, I moved countries and various agencies, now at client side, but I’ve always struggled in getting promotion, I’ve been working so hard but it seems like I’m not good enough or I’m lacking tools which take to get promoted in a highly competitive NYC market. This situation makes me wonder, Am I really doing what I’m good at? How do I find out if I should be doing something else, feels like I’m stuck and losing spark/focus. Help! :(

I’m trying to pivot to PM after >3 years in finance and I have a 2nd round interview with CPO this week. Company has 3.7 on Glassdoor with complaints about CEO, “bro-y” culture, and hard to wfh. It’s a data analytics company with 5 PMs, was bought by a PE firm this year, and has a new (female) CEO as of Oct. Role is 50/50 hybrid, pays well vs what I make, and most importantly would be a foot in the door to PM. Is this a good place to be for PM? What else do I need to find out to know for sure?
